Posted on June 11, 2014 Leave a Comment

CHEYENNE, Wyo. – Governor Matt Mead wants people across the state to be part of finalizing the Wyoming Water Strategy. Last week, the Governor’s Office released a list of possible measures to be implemented as components of a Water Strategy. A video of this meeting can be viewed online. Governor Mead now wants widespread comment on what Wyoming people believe is the most important focus for the state.

“There was great turnout for the nine listening sessions on the Wyoming Water Strategy and the conference last week. Water is a valuable resource and it is important to have a plan for the future,” Governor Mead said. “Public input and comment have given us direction and I want to make sure that everyone has the opportunity to be a part of this plan.”

People can comment on the Wyoming Water Strategy by email at wyomingwaterstrategy@gmail.com, in person, by mail, by phone or by filling out a survey. Surveys are available online by theme. Links to surveys are:

The Governor’s Office is accepting public comments for the next 60 days ending August 4, 2014.
